Born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, to a Mexican father and a Serbian mother, my childhood unfolded across Culiacán, Ciudad Obregón, and Cuauhtémoc, before Jalisco became my home. This diverse background has been a constant source of inspiration and has shaped my perspective.
My education was unconventional, forged not in a classroom but under the sun at my father's "Rancho Cositas." There, agricultural labor taught me the value of practical work—a lesson that led me to build an "internet investigations" department from scratch for the Cd. Cuauhtémoc city hall. My technological calling solidified in Guadalajara while supporting non-profits like AMBA and the Mesón de la Misericordia Divina, where necessity turned me into a programmer: I taught myself PHP and MySQL to build the solutions they needed.
As an infrastructure architect, I focus on fundamental re-engineering to achieve exponential results. A key example is a system transformation that resulted in a 90% reduction in costs and a 3000% increase in capacity. This ability to deliver value in mission-critical environments has been proven in my work for global cloud providers like CloudSigma in Bulgaria, federal government agencies in Mexico, and clients in the United Arab Emirates.
If technology is my prose, music is my poetry. I was the sound engineer for the group "Sentimiento Latino," where my versatility made me the utility musician, playing keyboards, guitar, or bass as needed. As a producer, I have worked for artists such as José Riaza, Tragicomi-k, La Golden Ganga, El Simple, and Juan Carlos Cano. I am also the founder of introbella, a band conceived under the Creative Commons philosophy, and as a solo artist ("Renich"), I have released albums such as "Nocturnal Overtures".
My philosophy of sharing knowledge has made me an active member of the free software community. I am an official package maintainer for the Fedora Project and have also contributed packages for Gentoo and Funtoo. My collaboration extends beyond code: I have provided technical support, written how-to guides, actively participated in forums, and have been a speaker and organizer at Linux User Groups like LinuxCabal, A.C.
Recently, I have channeled this vision into founding the MxOS Foundation. This initiative seeks to understand and replicate the build process of a distribution like CentOS Stream, with the goal of exhaustively documenting every step to promote technological sovereignty and open knowledge worldwide.
My curiosity has finally guided me into the field of Machine Learning, where I actively explore technologies like LLMs and stable diffusion models. My primary interest, however, lies in developing specific-use "micro models." This is reflected in personal projects like logarithm, which learns from system logs to detect anomalies; novelist, which generates books from a syllabus; and civitas, a government simulation game.
In the end, whether writing code or a melody, I am defined by two verbs: to build and to explore. My goal is always the same: to master a new field, forge a useful tool, and share knowledge to build a freer, more accessible technological foundation for everyone.
